Osvaldo Laport
Osvaldo Laport came to Buenos Aires in 1976 and started to study drama at Luis Tasca's Drama School. In order to support his acting classes and pay his room in a hotel downtown he had to work in some jobs as clown, warehouse employee and bricklayer. In 1979 he met Viviana Sáez in the same school, who he married the following year. Then, Osvaldo's drama teacher, Luis Tasca, called him for to work in the play 'Adiós Juventud'. His acting performance got the attention of Santiago Doria who offered him the leading role in Oscar Wilde's 'The importance of being Earnest', another important play in Argentina. In 1983, Luis Tasca supported Osvaldo again for him get a bit part in the soap opera 'Cara a Cara', starring Verónica Castro. His works in TV during the 80s brought him success and in 1990 he was cast in a leading role opposite Jeanette Rodríguez in the remake of 'Pobre diabla'. The following year, another hit in Argentina and Europe 'Cosecharás tu siembra' with Luisa Kuliok gave him a succesful career for the rest of the decade. His mayor achievement was a Martin Fierro Award (1999/2000) as Best Actor in a Comedy for his performance as Guido Guevara in 'Campeones'.

Following other works in theater productions, Angela Meyer cast him for the soap opera 'Natalia'. Next, another play, this one in the musical 'Guys and Dolls', the actor debuted as a professional singer. His performance in 'En Aquella Playa' was watched in several countries. Soap opera director, Grazio D' Angelo, and writer, Delia Fiallo, supported him to be cast in "Kassandra" (1993)_, starring Coraima Torres. This soap opera has become the most translated one, according to Guinness Book of Records. Also, Osvaldo sang its opening theme, composed by his manager Alejandro Montalbán. The critic in Venezuela acclaimed Osvaldo's good performance in that soap opera and was invited to display his talent as a singer in the event 'Chica 2001'. Osvaldo got more acknowledged in several countries around Latin American and starred in _"La Viuda de Blanco" (1996)_ with Yolandita Monge. This Colombian soap opera was transmitted in Spain, Turkey, Indonesia and Taiwan, besides other countries. Its soundtrack was edited with 15 songs, seven performed by Osvaldo and six ones by his co-star. After ten years working abroad, Osvaldo returned to Puerto Rico. Using well his time there, he was working in Telefilms 'Los hijos de Nadie' and 'Una Pasión en el Espejo'. Also, he worked in the series 'Después del Adiós' sharing leading roles with Alba Nydia Díaz. Osvaldo returned to the theater in the musical play 'The Beauty and the Beast'. In the early 2000s Oswaldo worked between Mexico and Colombia, being cast in some productions, such as 'Pecado Mortal' and Rauzán (2000). As a businessman Osvaldo founded with Papo Coss, Riverside Entertainment Company, which produced both the mini-series 'Después del Adios' and the movie 'Los Días de Doris'.
