Born in Greenfield Park, Canada, Ryan began his acting career as an extra in Immortals (2011), and Blue Mountain State (2011). Ryan is best known for his role in Brick Mansions (2014) as Floyd, and has appeared on numerous television productions, most notably on the show Les Jeunes Loups (2014). Ryan attended McGill University from 2008 to 2014, earning both a Bachelor of Education and Master of Arts Degree. While studying at McGill University, Ryan was a very prominent student-athlete, as he was the captain of the Men's university football team. Ryan's decorated college football career at McGill is highlighted by multiple awards for athleticism and leadership, including the Vic & Lois Obeck Trophy (Most Improved Player 2011), Shrine Bowl Most Valuable Defensive Player (2011), Friends of McGill Football Trophy (Most Valuable Defensive Player 2012), and the Adriano Tassone Memorial Trophy (Athletics and Academics 2012). Ryan Turek started in the industry as a journalist focusing solely on the world of horror films and entertainment. He was a co-founder of DreadCentral.com, a regular contributor to Fangoria Magazine and, later, the managing editor of ShockTillYouDrop.com. Following his departure from that site, he took a film executive position at Blumhouse Productions.
Born in Tillsonburg Ontario, Ryan came to Toronto to the Acting for Film and Television program at Humber College. He graduated in 2006 and has garnered much success in sketch comedy since then. Ryan having studied at The Second City, toured North America and has been nominated for multiple awards including a Canadian Comedy Award.
