Talisa Friedman was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Bethesda, MD and Pretoria, South Africa. In addition to her film and TV appearances, her extensive theater credits include a five-month run as Sally Bowles in Celebration Theatre's production of "Cabaret", "Hamlet" (Ophelia) and Alex Timbers' "The Last Goodbye" (Juliet) at The Old Globe, and productions at the American Repertory Theatre, Arena Stage, and Off-Bway. Talisa is also the author of several plays and screenplays. Her most recent work, "Who By Fire", won the 2021 National Jewish Playwriting Competition and was one of three finalists for Monumental Theater's New Work Series at the Kennedy Center. She majored in English at Harvard, where she was awarded the Jonathan Levy Prize for Acting and the David McCord Prize for the Arts.

Her credits include TV shows like "Community"/NBC, "Why Women Kill" / Paramount+, "ICarly Revival"/ Paramount+, as well as the independent pilot "Blow Me" alongside Tony Shalhoub and Jeremy Sisto, where she played the female lead. As a voice over and dubbing actor, Talita has over 12 credits as the lead voice for cartoons, documentaries and series for networks like Netflix, FOX and TV Globo. Talita always had a desire to direct, she adventured into writing but never thought directing was possible. In 2018, after a ski accident that required a surgery and over a year of physical therapy, she decided it was time to put her on screen acting career on hold and finally went to pursue her other dream, directing. Tempest Desert is her film and she produced, wrote, directed and starred in. The film got into over 10 film festivals, including Oscar qualifying LA Shorts, BAFTA qualifying Carmarthen Bay Film Festival and the established Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. It won an outstanding excellence in directing award and several nominations.
